SPRING 2
Easter Egg Hunt!
We ended the term in the BEST way. The Easter Bunny left eggs hidden around our local area. We used to map to follow the route and find all the eggs. We loved spending time together outside.
HOPE!
We loved creating our own anchor of hope on the school field.
Signs of Spring
During our forest school session we went out to look for different signs of spring. We ended the session with some fun in the garden
Daffodils
We have created some beautiful drawings of daffodils.
World Book Day!
We loved dressing up as our favourite book characters to celebrate World Book Day!
Bugs!
We loved exploring the garden looking for bugs. We couldn't believe how many different minibeasts we found.
SPRING 1
Lunar New Year!
We have loved our new enhancements in our home corner to help us celebrate Lunar New Year!
People who help us!
We have been learning all about real-life superheroes. We talked about the different roles people have in our local community and how these roles help us.
We have created some fantastic paintings of different people who help us!
Freezing and Melting
We have loved exploring ice outside and observing it melt. We have even explored floating and sinking by using penguins to get them to float on icebergs. We loved making ice sculptures too!

Reception Class X
Christmas Party Day!
We had lots of fun at our Christmas party. We played lots of games, danced, had party food and LOVED spending time together.
Circus Skills
We have LOVED getting out the circus skills equipment. We have been spinning plates and using the flower sticks. We can't wait to get the box out again and develop our skills.
We Will Remember Them!
We have made a special display in class to commemorate Remembrance Day.
Fire Engine Visit
We loved getting to look at a fire engine. We had so much fun having a go at using the hose!
FOREST SCHOOL
We loved making our own Jingle Sticks at forest school. We sang Jingle bells and had a Christmas dance party in the woods.
Hanukkah
We have been learning all about Hanukkah. We listened to the story about why Jewish people celebrate Hanukkah and then made our very own Hanukkah cards, looked at artefacts and made a Menorah out of loose parts.
Remembrance Day!
We made special poppies and poppy biscuits on Remembrance Day. We went outside to observe the two minutes silence. We were very respectful. We said a special prayer for those that fought in the wars.
FOREST SCHOOL
We loved our very first forest school session. We built a bonfire, made nature sparklers and had hot chocolate and cookies around the fire. We ended our day watching a firework show in class and eating our edible sparklers.
AUTUMN TERM 1
Saint Peter!
We have been learning all about our class saint - Saint Peter.
We have worked very hard to create a special display.
Phonics!
We have been practicing our sounds outside using chalk.
Welcome Assembly.
We had a lovely time being formally welcomed to St Peter's. We are thrilled we got to share the special assembly with so many of our loved ones. We can't wait to spend time with our year 6 buddies throughout the year.
Making new friends!
We are having so much fun making new friends. We are learning to share, take turns and take care of each other.
Water Play!
We have spent some time taking care of the babies. We have had lots of fun giving them a bath!
Matching Objects.
We have been working hard in maths to match objects.
Continuous Provision
Playing and Learning together is so much fun!
Our First Day!
We have loved exploring our new classroom and making new friends.
We are all ready to welcome our new little ones and their families to our St Peter's family!
